Returning from the beach:
Use hose in front or back yard to wash sand off feet and toys. Shake the sand from all toys and towels before entering the home. Sand and dryer do not mix. Please do not place beach towel with sand in the washer/dryer—this will break the washer/dryer!!
Linens: Sheet and pillow cases for queen size bed and queen size futon are in the Master bedroom’s left bottom 2 drawers of dresser. Twin sheets are in the bottom 2 drawers of the dresser in the closet of the 2nd bedroom, pillows and blankets are in the 2nd & Studio bedrooms’ closets. Extra pillows and comforter is in the hallway linen closet across from first bathroom.
Roll away Twin bed is in the 2nd bedroom closet and fits in the 2nd bedroom.
Towels are in the hallway linen closet. Place wet towels over the shower rod to dry everyday.
Futons:
T open and close the futons you do not need to move them away from the wall.
Queen Futon: Helpful to have 2 people. Queen futon opens by gently pulling the bottom front wood bar toward you. Futon closes by pushing the bottom front bar away from you and lifting up on the wood-back.
To open Twin Futon: Remove cushion. First gently lift the wood extending legs over the bottom bar while pulling the wood bar towards you and lastly opening the legs to support the wood extension, then add cushion kept behind the chair. To close move feet into wood slats and push wood bar extension back into the seat, lift over wood bar and move back toward the front.
Heating:
Use only the electric heater located in hallway. To adjust temperatures use the thermostat in the living room.
Cooling:
The evening ocean breeze cools the home nicely by opening the front door and back windows.
Water usage:
Santa Cruz has metered water and we can all do our part by conserving water. Use what you need but please do not let water run when not in use.
IF you see a water leak please contact vacation rental office immediately.
Please run dishwasher when there’s a full load.
Extra Supplies:
Paper towels, toilet paper, tissues etc. are in the cabinet in the garage.

•Extra pots and pans are in the cabinet door behind the kitchen drying towel, pull on the cabinet door behind the towel ring to open the cabinet.

To turn on the CD play press on/off on the Right speaker in addition to the pauser button on CD player. CD player plays 1 CD at a time, need to manually advance to the next CD. There are a few DVDs and CD in the entertainment system.
Emergency Items
Basket with emergency items on top of cabinet in studio bedroom-please help keep this basket supplied and replace any items you use so that it will be available for the next guest when they forget an item.
